The Essential Sound panel contains many options for improving the sound quality of your clips with a minimum of clicks.
- Switch to the Audio workspace by selecting Window > Workspace > Audio. The Audio Workspace contains the Essential Sound panel.
- In the timeline, select the clip you want to edit in the Essential Sound panel.
- In the Essential Sound panel, select the audio type you are working with. “Dialogue”.
- Enable each option in the Essential Sound panel to improve sound quality. For example, Loudness automatically adjusts speech volume to industry standard levels. Clarity improves the impact of your speech. EQ adds loudness to certain sounds to make speech more audible. Enhance Speech applies subtle adjustments to improve speech clarity.
- Some options in the Essential Sound panel contain additional settings. The best way to find out what they are doing is to listen to the changes in sound as you experiment.
- Once you’ve finished working on the soundtrack, return to the Edit workspace.
